World Cup Tico style

What a great way to start the World Cup. Watching the opening game on a roof top in San Jose listening to the roars from the locals in the streets below who were gathered outside shop windows all dressed in their red team shirts. The TV was showing the match in the bar on the rooftop and there was great excitement all the way through the game, especially when Costa Rica scored two goals. Afterwards, San Jose was a sea of red and it reminded me of rugby international days in Cardiff. So, no big celebrations tonight for the Ticos, but they are just as excited about England's game tomorrow as the travelling Brits are.

Just as patriotic as the Welsh!

Back in Panama

Finally dragged myself away from the Caribbean yesterday and took a 45 minute flight to return to Panama City from Cartagena, Colombia...the same journey that took 11 days on the boat!!!
Heading back to Costa Rica in time for their opening game against Germany - the atmosphere should be good if nothing else (most people who know me, know that football is not my thing...much more a rugby girl, but when in Rome.....).
Hoping to upload a few more random photos soon so keep looking. Send me an email and let me know your news,
Hannah
